Oh how I have been on a Zeromancer trip these past few weeks. I feel abosultly in LOVE with this song as well as Eurotrash, Need You Like A Drug, & Clone Your Lover. This song is very popish and does remind me of Orgy, (No offense guys, since I love the band Orgy, not the act people! Sheesh.), but they are considered to be Industrial Metal.

Zeromancer has been around for quite some time and was formed after their previous band Seigmen fell apart. The band is comprised of 5 members:

Alex Moklebust: Vocals (Previous Member of Seigmen)

Moralf Ronthi: Drums (Previous Member of Seigmen)

Kim Ljung: Bass (Previous Member of Seigmen)

Chris Schleyer: Guitars (Previous Member of Kidneythieves)

Erik Ljunggren: Programming (Previous Member of Vampire State Building)

Cleopatra Records quickly signed this amazing band and was quickly delighted even more that they did when Zeromancer won the Best Newcomer of 2000 Award at the GAMA (Germen Alternative Music Awards) with their DEBUT album Clone Your Lover. In 2001 Zeromancer released Eurotrash which was followed by their 3^rd album called Zzyzx (I have no idea how to pronounce that. To me it just reminds me of some lumberjack snoring), in March of 2004.

In 2003, however, Zeromancer reissued Clone Your Lover for distribution in the good ‘ol US of A. Enough back history on the band. I know you all have been waiting to hear the mad and sinfully witty comments of Decay RIGHT?!

WELL TO BAD HERE THEY COME! Bwuhaha. Ehrm.

Dr. Online is without a doubt in my mind, one of the most pleasant songs I have heard in awhile, but this video bites a big crusty bag of … well you get the picture. After all if the video was retarded.. it wouldn’t be on TORTURE TUESDAY now would it… tee hee.

There’s nothing like singing into the eyes of another guy.. I give kudos to those guys though. I couldn’t do it without laughing halfway through the song. Also I’m not sure if the band was trying to save money on the whole music video or not, but they accomplished it considering the stinking set was completely WHITE. I wonder how many times they had to clean that thing because some jerkoff walked through without taking off their shoes or tracked mud through it set. Also there was what looked like a chair made out of pizza boxes wrapped in saran wrap so they wouldn’t fly everywhere when sat on. Nice 10” TV as well their guys.

Such big spenders, they are.

Again, Great song, crappy music video, yet still weird enough to have fans scream ”I LOVE YOU GUYS”.

DJ Amateur night for Doom and Gloom sounded okay to go to even though I knew I was going to tear apart the transition styles of the DJ. Granted, yes, they could be decent but then again there is a reason on why the flyer said amateur.

Yes I am an amateur DJ as well. Even before I got into being a DJ I knew a 90 BPM song just doesn’t mix well with a 129 BMP song. Ever heard the saying “It’s like trying to fit a square in a circular hole”? Just throwing it out their folks.

Other than the retarded DJ’s playing what seemed to be their favorite songs in random order, the night was eventful and I came back with a few new songs that I think everyone would enjoy. Granted some were obviously not meant for the dance floor (Yet they somehow appeared there), they are great to listen to while working or just rocking out.

• Zeromancer – Doctor Online and Colonial Lover.

• Emilie Autumn isn’t dance floor spectacular but a remix of “Dead is the New Alive” by Velvet Acid Christ is.

Now for the songs that should have stayed at home.

• Razed in Black – Visions (Assamblage 23 Remix): Yes the beat is catchy but there are too many dead-spots in the beat. In turn that makes it obscenely hard for even the best dancer to move to.

• Depeche Mode – Macro: Do I really need to explain? The songs overall feel is more of a seductive and make-out tone. Part of the lyrics start off with “thundering”, “pounding”, “driving”, and here’s a big hint on why it shouldn’t be used on a dance floor “Our bodies moving with pure precision.” COME ON PEOPLE THINK!
