Granted, yes, they could be decent but then again there is a reason on why the flyer said amateur.

Yes I am an amateur DJ as well. Just throwing it out their folks.

Other than the retarded DJ’s playing what seemed to be their favorite songs in random order, the night was eventful and I came back with a few new songs that I think everyone would enjoy. Granted some were obviously not meant for the dance floor (Yet they somehow appeared there), they are great to listen to while working or just rocking out.

Zeromancer – Doctor Online and Colonial Lover.

Emilie Autumn isn’t dance floor spectacular but a remix of “Dead is the New Alive” by Velvet Acid Christ is.

Now for the songs that should have stayed at home.

Razed in Black – Visions (Assamblage 23 Remix): Yes the beat is catchy but there are too many dead-spots in the beat. The songs overall feel is more of a seductive and make-out tone. Part of the lyrics start off with “thundering”, “pounding”, “driving”, and here’s a big hint on why it shouldn’t be used on a dance floor “Our bodies moving with pure precision.” COME ON PEOPLE THINK!

As Always, Here is A Fix

Post from: Industrial Addiction

BOOOO Debate

Decayed Thoughts

Dark Wave

Debate

Disco

EBM

Gothic-Rock

Grunge

Hip-Hop

Industrial

Industrial Rock

Mainstream

Music

Pop

Punk

Rap

Synth-Pop

Ya know, industrial music has its ups and downs. For one, not a lot of people listen to it. Of course, the whole industrial scene is underground and that’s how many people like it, including some bands. Reason being is that they find it as a way to keep the fakes and posers out of the scene and the music true. The only backlash to this is that many people aren’t reached out to that would possible enjoy the various industrial styles.

Industrial is comprised of many different forms. The most notable are, Synthpop, Darkwave, New Age, Gothic Rock (more or less), and by far EBM. They all have their links and similarities to mainstream music such as Pop, Rap, 80’s Rock, and Grunge/Punk styles.

The big difference is the way they are all presented. The Industrial style of music is more complex in lyrics and in beat where as mainstream music isn’t. It’s all about image. Image sells and so does simplicity. Reason being is that the easier it is to listen to and look at, the less brainpower is needed to appreciate it.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying anything is wrong with the mainstream styles, but lately people are getting angry and have always wrinkled their nose to industrial. After all it’s easier to dance to a 6 minute repeating beat than it is to dance to one that changes through out the song.

Overall, everyone has their favorites and dislikes. The only thing I am addressing is just because industrial is harder to comprehend, it doesn’t make it shit music.

On a side note, Industrial also derived from Disco.

Post from: Industrial Addiction

Apoptygma Berzerk – Soli Deo Gloria

CD Launches

CD Reviews

Apoptygma-Berzerk

CD-Review

Darkwave

Debut-Album

EBM

Goth

Industrial-Music

Metropolis-Records

Rivit

Soli-Deo-Gloria

Synth-Pop

Upcoming-CD

Alright now people, what do you call something you can’t hold, are only able to get it by buying it, and are able to listen to it. Now as far as the songs go for the new contemplation release Soli Deo Gloria that is due to digitally release on September 4th of 2007 is great. Their sample of Burnin’ Heretic gives of that eerie “Twilight Zone” feeling and coupled with the Stephan Groth’s melancholy voice, the song makes it so you can’t help but turn up and nod your head to the beat.

Now as for their song Bitch well, you can’t help but love it. I mean the song name is great as is. No, it’s not a cover of Alan Morsetts song either, sorry ladies. With all that said and done, when the CD digitally airs, get your card ready and download this new album and enjoy it. On a side note, though this is a new album to air, it is being brought out from a debut album from metropolis-records.

Tracklisting is as follows

01.
