This band is considered to be the “Glam Rock” of Nirvana but with their song, Post Blue I believe they have a taste for what can be related to industrial. It would be more geared toward that of Synth-Pop but still, the roots are there.
Most of their songs are derived from the styles of U2, Weezer, and David Bowie. The band has done a few cover songs from Depeche Mode, which is a start into getting into the whole industrial scene and the closely related styles of Synth-Pop, Dark Wave, EBM , and Gothic.

Ya know, industrial music has its ups and downs. For one, not a lot of people listen to it. Of course, the whole industrial scene is underground and that’s how many people like it, including some bands. Reason being is that they find it as a way to keep the fakes and posers out of the scene and the music true. The only backlash to this is that many people aren’t reached out to that would possible enjoy the various industrial styles.

Hrm. I have always liked Amy Lee and the band of Evanescence. Their first album took the not only the store shelves by storm, but many people’s hearts with her soothing hypnotic-like voice. Amy’s looks aren’t too bad as well.

With Evanescence’s new album, The Open Door, premiered with Wind-up Records It’s mellower than her first one but that doesn’t tear away those metal loving rivets that do stand up and say “Hell YES I listen to Evanescence!” It’s considered to be more Gothic Rock then industrial but it deserves to be mentioned at the Addiction.
