Too bad I can’t say the same about the music video.

I know I am picky about what makes a music video worth sometimes time, even if it is only less than 5 minutes long, but damnit, if you tried showing this music video to your grandparents they’d probably go into shock and have the same face most industrial lovers have when watching this poorly created video; “The what the hell does this have to do with ANYTHING?!” look.

Through out the entire song, he’s holding a remote, and I’m thinking, what the hell does that have to do with the song in any way? Is he pissed there is nothing on? Does he secretly want to be a television producer? Where the beer in his left? I was half expecting for one of the other bandmates to serve him a damn pot-pie with an apron on. The second thing that seems just thrown in there was the hand clawing at the television screen. It brings back memories of the movie “Poltergeist”. That movie was alright and yes, it did scare the crap out of me as a child but it still held little to no value on the song.

This music video had so much potential considering the lyrics are decent and a music video would have helped clarify more meaning behind the song. The inclusion of tracks that were not ether previously unreleased or at least remixed for this compilation reeks of repackaging just for the sake of marketing. Worst yet is the obviously “mainstream commercial” packaging the music has been wrapped in. What could possibly be more mainstream than including a pamphlet with models decked out in what is undoubtedly clothing available for purchase at the VampireFreaks.com online store by the same name as the box set? The title would more aptly be “F**ked by the Mainstream.” That there is genuinely interesting music on any of the discs is without a doubt thanks solely to the artists who lovingly and – more than likely – obsessively strive to scream with their own voices. For the sake of much needed exposure, they risk being marginalized into the mainstream by those less concerned with art and more concerned with trying to sell a subculture.”

You can read what Damon Wilson has to say on the 3 Disc Contemplation CD at ReGen Magazine – Reviews.

As Always, Here is A Fix.

Post from: Industrial Addiction

Celldweller: Take It and Break It Volume #2 – Frozen Remixes

Ambient

CD Launches

EBM (Electronic Body Music)

Electronica

Industrial

Industrial Related Genres

Metal/Death/Grind

Song Reviews

Brent-Young

Celldweller

Copy-Paste-Repeat

FIXT-Records

Frozen-Remixes

Industrial-Blog

Industrial-Music-Blog

Industrial-Music-News

Klayton

Skeel

Klayton from Celldweller is on his third remix contest from his personal label FIXT. The more people there are like you, the more likely one of them will try to overthrow you… damn puberty.

The first day you enter such a setting, bring it full force. How you dress will play a big impact on your success and failure. (Next Monday will have a “How To Dress” follow up.) Remember to stride into class with a t-shirt of the most unheard-of band you can think of, preferably one with blatant obscenity all over it (good examples are the “I DON’T FUCKING CARE” Acumen Nation shirt or the EAT SHIT YOU FUCKING REDNECK” Pigface shirt.)

If you are accosted by any “higher” authority, simply threaten them with either bodily harm or a legal action for infringing on your rights. (Legal threats are less likely to get you detention and school counseling time, but remember that punk chick is in there almost every day plus detention is fun, too.)

Keep in mind that the dress code was made to be obliterated and challenged so thus, it is your right to tell people to fuck off. Wearing sunglasses constantly for no apparent reason is also a great way to “Keep it industrial”. Tell people the light hurts your eyes, even if it’s the cloudiest day in history. Respond to any vampire jokes with a hiss or offer to drink their blood. If the harassing individual is an ugly female, tell her you’d rather die of thirst than drink her blood or use any other clever remark to remind her makeup does work.

Always presenting your appearance with your highest ability will reinforce your elite industrialness, even if you are not learning anything in class, I.E. gym class. If you actually want to learn something, develop alternative “study” methods like paying attention with your eyes closed, fake eyes drawn on your eyelids are optional. If you have the sunglasses, turn your head away from the person presenting the material or board and watch out the corner of your eye.

You can also draw seemingly meaningless violent images in your notebooks which, known only to you, contain better study material than anyone else’s notes. If this doesn’t work try tape recording the class. Too much work? Hey, you thought alienating yourself from your peers would be easy? Douche.

Next up Part 2… COLLEGE!!!

(This is just fun and games, if taken literally, use at your own risk. I.A. is not responsible for any individual(s) or can be held accountable for these actions. Results will vary.)

As Always, Here is A Fix.

Post from: Industrial Addiction

De\Vision – Strange Affection Lyrics

Bands

EBM (Electronic Body Music)

Electronica

Lyrics

Song Reviews

Devision---Strange-Affection-Lyrics

DeVision-Lyrics

Industrial-Blog

Industrial-Music

Industrial-Music-Blog

Strange-Affection-Lyrics

boomp3.com For some reason I have been on a De\Vision kick for the past week.
