Actually, if you commute, college will be no different than high school. However, for the resident student, there are lots of other was to make people fear you as if you were a God/ess.

The best thing to do is to pick a landmark that holds considerable artistic value on campus, i.e. a statue or a fountain, or even the craptastic abstract piece of “artistic statement” left over from the schools founding son. Once you’ve found your spot pick a late hour and visit it regularly. Fountains work well because they are usually turned off at night, and people will wonder why the hell you’re staring at a dead fountain. Make sure to stare intently, as though you can communicate with your chosen fixation. If asked, make a claim to this effect without looking away. Snide vocal tones are optional.

Another good thing to do is to climb to the top of a building and stare out over the school’s population, like some kind of superhero, or professional wrestler. NOTE: If your school has a high percentage of shootings, you may want to invest in body armor, or scrap the idea. People get offensive to “freaks” and do their best to make them feel as if they are beneath them.

So now you know how to establish yourself in early on in a non-industrial-friendly setting. If the above methods fail to yield any response, then you can always revert to beating the living crap out of anyone who greets you with, “Hey Freak!!! What does KMFDM mean?!”.
