Industrial Addiction

Well, one thing I have noticed is the industrial bands seem to be closer than many other genres of music. Reason being is that I constantly hear and see remixes done by other bands after the initial release of a bands song such as Das Ich – Destillat which VNV Nation also did a remix.

There are so many bands that have contributed to the success and evolution to the industrial genre of bliss. However with any musical genre, many bands have gone unnoticed and some where close to being forgotten.

Angelspit is a glorious band. The song 100% can be found on Asleep By Dawn – DJ Ferret’s Mix #2 as well as on their official album Krankhaus. The song is simple yet seductive, short and to the point, and outright insane.
This song can give you a quick fix if you are in need of an electro beat and an attractive female voice. However, if you are looking for a song that makes sense, you are better off looking some place else.

Over the past few months I.A. has covered Electronica, EBM, Gothic, Synth- Pop, and Dark Wave. All next week, however, there will be a special week of ambient, and ethereal posts. (I haven’t forgotten this genre!!)

DJ Amateur night for Doom and Gloom sounded okay to go to even though I knew I was going to tear apart the transition styles of the DJ. Granted, yes, they could be decent but then again there is a reason on why the flyer said amateur.

Now what song can be better than this one… I mean right off the bat the sensuous voice of a female can be heard that would make most guys blush. Not to mention the fact that I’ve accidentally yelled “Oh MY GOTH!” instead of “Oh MY GOD!” from listening to this song so much.

One thing I absolutely admire, and love about industrial music is how much can be portrayed by both the fans and bands. For one, Industrial music is very political; the same with punk music. With that being said industrial music, as a result, isn’t mainstream, well liked, and can be very hard to dance to.

Well now this is a new band overall, but their sound gives off a presence that far exceeds their reputation. It is comprised of Vo1d and Trav15. Not much is known from this upstart band, but much can be expected from it. Their Dark Wave and Electronica sounds give an eerie tone to the listener. This band is its own world. Their website Mindinabox.com not only shows that with just a glance at the homepage, but their music is something that is not for the simple of mind. Mainly classified as Synth-Pop blended with Dark Wave and Electronica. Wonder if this band ever runs out of plugs for their equipment. BA DUN CHING.
