Monday Insight – A look back at I.A. And It’s Future!

Over the past few months I.A. has covered Electronica, EBM, Gothic, Synth- Pop, and Dark Wave. All next week, however, there will be a special week of ambient, and ethereal posts. (I haven’t forgotten this genre!!)
This is a genre that has been long associated with industrial but not many see it that way. It is and so it shall be covered in I.A.
On a second note, I.A. is expanding and is now on Myspace! So fellow readers and lovers of industrial why not put a picture to all those comments and add I.A. to your Myspace! You can …read more

Torture Tuesday – Suicide Commando

Torture Tuesday – Suicide Commando

One thing I absolutely admire, and love about industrial music is how much can be portrayed by both the fans and bands. For one, Industrial music is very political; the same with punk music. With that being said industrial music, as a result, isn’t mainstream, well liked, and can be very hard to dance to.
The benefit from industrial being political is that there are some issues that can be addressed and it will be more accepted then if someone just shot off their mouth, stating their views. So when a fan of a band throws together a video …read more

Torture Tuesday – Margin of Error

Torture Tuesday – Margin of Error

Well now this is a new band overall, but their sound gives off a presence that far exceeds their reputation. It is comprised of Vo1d and Trav15. Not much is known from this upstart band, but much can be expected from it. Their Dark Wave and Electronica sounds give an eerie tone to the listener. The Orgy sounding song of Physical Body Projection is just one song that can give a slight hint to who their artists of inspiration are. A band with this type of talent hasn’t been heard since the days of oGhr and rumor has it, since …read more

Mind.In.A.Box – When Video Games Meet The Music Industry

Mind.In.A.Box – When Video Games Meet The Music Industry

This band is its own world. Their website Mindinabox.com not only shows that with just a glance at the homepage, but their music is something that is not for the simple of mind. Mainly classified as Synth-Pop blended with Dark Wave and Electronica. Wonder if this band ever runs out of plugs for their equipment. BA DUN CHING.
Any who, their sound is phenomenal, for a lack of a better word since they have not only created boot stomping, body shaking, dance till you collapse music for the clubs and personal enjoyment in the car, but for video games. Their …read more

System Syn – If You Never Heal

System Syn – If You Never Heal

Well this song has been on my mind and in my ears for hours upon end today. It describes so much when it comes to breaking down the lyrics. Here they are.

“These things I know
Are reflections of myself
And you can’t call
Couldn’t do that to yourself
They say I’ll never heal
They say I’ll never feel again
And I believe them
I believe them

You’re waiting for your ship to come in
Like searching for the star you already watched fall
These things don’t happen twice

And if you never heal
If you never feel again
I won’t place the blame on you
I will take the shame my …read more

BOOOO Debate

BOOOO Debate

Ya know, industrial music has its ups and downs. For one, not a lot of people listen to it. Of course, the whole industrial scene is underground and that’s how many people like it, including some bands. Reason being is that they find it as a way to keep the fakes and posers out of the scene and the music true. The only backlash to this is that many people aren’t reached out to that would possible enjoy the various industrial styles.
Industrial is comprised of many different forms. The most notable are, Synthpop, Darkwave, New Age, Gothic Rock (more or …read more
