Project Pitchfork is on Tour!

Project Pitchfork has announced dates for its upcoming European and South American tour, which kicks off July 20th at the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany. Other dates include:

September 19 in Barcelona, Spain,
October 20 in Mexico City, Mexico,
October 25 in São Paulo, Brazil

Paradise Lost Release an Online Preview For Their Latest Album!

A brand-new comprehensive online preview of ‘The Anatomy Of Melancholy‘, the new live DVD/CD/LP by British gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost has just been posted at www.ecard.centurymedia.com/the_anatomy_of_melancholy!

Besides detailed information about this release, the online preview offers you the chance to enjoy four of the 20 songs featured in their entire dark beauty. These songs are: “The Enemy”, “One Second”, “As I Die”, and “Gothic”!

On April 12th 2007, UK Gothic Metal pioneers Paradise Lost played a sold-out show at the Koko Club in the heart of Camden, London to record a DVD. Fans and media from all over the world came to the beautiful Baroque style venue to celebrate a band that, 20 years since its conception in 1988, is still one of the most exciting bands of their self-defined genre.

The live show was filmed and directed by Paul M Green and his Dash Productions Team (who already worked with Opeth, The Damned, Gary Numan, Siouxie Sioux, and many more). Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Amon Amarth, Symphony X, etc.) mixed the brilliantly captured live sound at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, and the dark enchanting cover artwork was done again by Greek artist Seth who already worked on the band’s last two album covers.

The bonus material for ‘The Anatomy of Melancholy‘ will feature interviews, Fan quotes from the Koko, a half hour road movie from the following European tour of Fall 2007, plus last but not least, the highly acclaimed “The Enemy” promo video! With the band’s 20th anniversary in 2008, this DVD is the perfect entertainment for your private anniversary party!

To further celebrate their anniversary, Paradise Lost have confirmed two exclusive shows in Paris and London with My Dying Bride and Anathema to properly commemorate this event. The shows will take place in September 2008!!

Nitzer Ebb is in the Studio!

Bon and Douglas have been working feverishly with old friend Jason Payne to finish up the first new Nitzer Ebb Record in over a decade. Tracks are nearing completion and FLOOD has come on board to twist some of the knobs in the mixing process.

Nitzer Ebb is currently looking at various alternatives for putting out the music, with a joint venture that supports the creative process being the ideal situation.

Final Announcement Announced For Infest!

The final lineup for this year’s Infest Festival, taking place August 22-24 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK, has been announced! The bands that are scheduled to be included are PHENOMINAL to say the least. I’m so jealous I don’t live in the UK currently…

… ah well.

A Personal Note From Al Jourgensen For "Cover Up"

The April Fools Day release of “Cover Up” coincides with the launch of Ministry’s final world tour; the CULaTouR which begins on the 25th of March in Spokane, WA.

“‘Under My Thumb’, like The Doors cover ‘Roadhouse Blues’, was about my not understanding the dichotomies involved” says Jourgensen.
“If you listen to the lyrics to ‘Under My Thumb’, it’s the most misogynistic song ever made. I never understood that dichotomy, so I always wanted to tackle it. Same with ‘Roadhouse’ — it’s a blues-based song, yet the lyrics are about driving your car into a wall at full speed, drunk, and not giving a f**k. It’s so much an anarchist anthem, it should’ve been a Sex Pistols song. So, I wanted to approach both tracks with the spirit of the original lyrical intent.”

Since announcing the CULaTouR in late October, additional shows in Spokane, Calgary, Vancouver, Tulsa and Chicago have been added to the routing, with more dates to be announced. You can find these announcements at Ministry’s official web site, and you can also view available ticket’s here.
