Double Trouble Songs That Are A MUST ADD To Your iPod or MP3 Player!

This song is one that is always a must have from Within Temptation. The song name is “A Dangerous Mind” and has always been a favorite along with their song “Angel“. This band has a lot more mentionable songs that I could spout off but for the sake to stay on target, I will just keep it at that! Also, the songs I just mentioned are the more mellow side of Within Temptation but they still deliver that UMPH everyone has come to know and love from this long-lived band.

I’ve only wished to see Within Temptation live since rumors have always been that they sound great, if not better, than their studio sound. I love it when bands are that good. It always rubbed me the wrong way when I would go see a band I enjoyed and they sounded like weak crap live yet had an amazing voice on their album(s), but given the footage above, I doubt I’ll have to worry about that when it comes to Within Temptation.

Now the second video I would like to share with you comes from the band Mortiis. This video isn’t live, but the OFFICIAL music video for the song called “Mental Maelstrom“. This band I have been wishing to see live ever since I watched the music video to “Decadent and Desperate“.

I find it fascinating that the artist thought up the scene where he and his alter-ego would sing at one another. Those little things are what keeps the Industrial Genre alive and kicking…

Old Yet Still Kickin!

This is one music video that I really enjoy despite the fact I hate the movie it is associated with. I never was one to enjoy the new trend for ’stupid comedies’. I guess I can blame that on the rivet side of me.

This movie needs to be in the archives of Industrial Addiction and HERE IT IS!

Before any rants go on, I know this music video is old, yes it’s Marilyn Manson and I also know he isn’t industrial. So what I say.

Torture Tuesday – Front Line Assembly

Front Line Assembly has been around for many years and has been rocking the Synth-Pop and Industrials scenes since I can remember. Now this song called “The Blade” is about a 5.5 on a 1:10 scale. It’s great to listen to when working on a project or as a tune to have some background noise. Too bad I can’t say the same about the music video.

I know I am picky about what makes a music video worth sometimes time, even if it is only less than 5 minutes long, but damnit, if you tried showing this music video to your grandparents they’d probably go into shock and have the same face most industrial lovers have when watching this poorly created video; “The what the hell does this have to do with ANYTHING?!” look.

Through out the entire song, he’s holding a remote, and I’m thinking, what the hell does that have to do with the song in any way? Is he pissed there is nothing on? Does he secretly want to be a television producer? Where the beer in his left? I was half expecting for one of the other bandmates to serve him a damn pot-pie with an apron on. The second thing that seems just thrown in there was the hand clawing at the television screen. It brings back memories of the movie “Poltergeist”. That movie was alright and yes, it did scare the crap out of me as a child but it still held little to no value on the song.

This music video had so much potential considering the lyrics are decent and a music video would have helped clarify more meaning behind the song. Great Job on dropping the ball in your court mates…

Torture Tuesday – Desperate and Decedant by Mortiis

I love how the artist is singing with and to his alter ego, though, the little child and the book was oddly placed it didn’t have that much affect on the overall quality of the music video.

Course the sound quality could have been better, though I doubt that is not from the artist but rather the jackass who wanted to share this video. Damn idiots, learn something about bitrates.

The only thing I have noticed is most of Mortiis’s beats are very similar and often times can be questioned as “isn’t this the same beat as the last song I have listened to?” The correct response is NO of course but the thought did cross my mind.

I think this mate also has a fondness of the color brown. If he’s trying to go for a dreary effect, he could use I dunno.. BLACK maybe? Brown just isn’t pulling it off…

Perhaps he wanted a “shitty” feel to the music video. If that is the case, RIGHT ON. The addition of chains in the music video makes the video a bit better. (Yes I enjoy chains, shut up). I did find it funny the troll ego just burst out into a song.

I you look at it like the ego is trying to serenade the real person, then it’s morbid and funny as hell. Maybe I just have a sick sense of humor, who knows, I am the mad witch doctor running this site after all.

Torture Tuesday – Queen B by Puscifer

Rawr, a Puscifer music video. What can I say, this HAS to be shared. Maynard is very weird, but I, as well as many others, enjoy his work. This music video is rather odd but it is so odd in a way that it keeps the eyes and ears drawn to it. It’s a combination of his voice and the oddness of the chess board. Also, the Queen looks like a damn demon bee.

The end is slightly funny with the two queens. I won’t spoil it for you. Consider it my little torture gift for this video; from me to you. Mwuhaha. Though, I do think that the two Asian females drinking were un-needed overall, and the fact that their roles were very short. What can you expect from Maynard other than a messed up band biography and scenes that seemingly come out of left field and beyond.

Mortiis – Mental Maelstrom Video

This music video is one of the best that I have yet seen for industrial and EBM bands. Mortiis is mainly considered to be Heavy Metal by some, however, the beats and overall style (including the bands attire) is more associated with Gothic/EBM. This just goes to show that many bands are utterly lacking in specific categorization of their music.

Nowadays, across all genres of music, bands are mislabeled. Most of it is due to listeners and their utter lack of knowledge of what type of music is in what category as well as what makes that music labeled and categorized as such.

Now onto the music video.

Overall the video was done fairly well because it tells a story and keeps the scene easy to follow. It doesn’t have idiotic special effects that are un-needed as well as a beat that make your blood start pulsing faster. Another great thing about this music video (and the band) is even though he is dressed as a mythical creature, a troll, he still gets a dark and sensatious feeling across.

At least to me, he also passes off a feeling some people get when they are at a party or suffer some social anxiety. The feeling that you are unattractive and troll-ish (looking ugly).

Torture Tuesday – Katscan Took too Many MRI’s!

This is the official music video for Katscan’s song “Zombie Machine”. Overall I’d say this video fairs extremely better than the two posted last week and this band has better potential as well. Only thing is I get the feeling that the garage is more in their “comfort zone”. Also remember the bands name starts with a “k”. Does everyone remember why it is spelled with a “k” then a “c”?

I’ve listened to these mates previously and was hooked on them for a few months but I really haven’t heard anything new about them since their Feral Bios album. This song is alright, but nothing that is stupendous by all means. The band slightly reminds me of Zombie Girl and Angelspit combined, though, without the obvious female vocalists.

The video does get a bit annoying visually due to the fact that the artist was a bit obsessed with his classic British looking teeth, inverted colors, and the overused distilling effects. Though what was funny was the very beginning monologue. Instead of it having that “spooky radio broadcasting voice” it sounded like the mate just recorded it in a high school gym and threw it in with the song for shits and giggles.

They have put out albums before yet some of their music quality could be improved which would lead to a bigger fan base, but I guess the punk in them disagrees. The band will do what it wants and it doesn’t seem like they are going to go anywhere fast, so it’s all fine and dandy…

Oh well, se la vi.

I was almost tempted to leave this music video hidden in the files of youtube, but hah these jerks really have it coming. There is no way the English language can describe this crap feast of jumbled pictures and horrid beats deemed, “Techno-Industrial”. So with that said, This one takes #1 for the ENTIRE YEAR of 2007. What a way to kick off the new year of 2008, douches.

Torture Tuesday – Dualistic Nature

I really have no idea what this band was THINKING. I mean come on, it looks like a leftovers of a toddler taking a crap. How can people actually like this noise and then try and pass it off as “Industrial”? Since when has industrial been watered down to distorted vocals and a repetitive beat.

Oh yeah, I remember, it all started when people figured out how to use fucking powerpoint. COME ON. Hah, and I haven’t even started on the video.

Christ, the meow mix commercial was thought up by a damn prodigy child compared to these assholes Dualistic Nature. The noise pollution they called a song was “Inflatable God”. Honestly I’d rather hear spongebob talk over listening to this again. Add another ingrate to Torture Tuesday!

Well Ladies and Gents, I hope your holidays were excellent in every way shape and form. So in order to get the rest of the holiday bliss of out my system so I can focus better, I’ve decided to give you a Triple Treatment today and today alone . It’s okay.. you can take it in steps since I know I can be too much at times. HAH.

Well this will be the second dose for the day, and when I was chilling with a few mates for the holidays, I came across a rather … interesting…

The only thing I regret is not finding this on the correct holiday. GAR!
