On a good note however, I have them almost completed and they should be finalized by the latest, September. Maintaining Industrial Addiction and keeping it the place that everyone has come to enjoy and spend their time on is, and always, will be my top priority and desire.

I will be posting more regularly before September arises and again I do apologize for the spontaneous posts that have been happening, but, life sometimes throws a rather large wrench in your plans at times. Fear not Industrial Addiction is alive and well!

They plotted the downloads of the album onto Google Earth, so you can browse interactively and see where the Nine Inch Nails fans are:

Nine Inch Nails is doing some pretty awesome stuff and exploring a lot of interesting ways to use Internet media to promote their music. Honestly they images created were ‘Eye Candy’ to me and I have always loved how Trent comes up with so many unique ways to visually promote his music. I’m not saying this was all Trent’s doing and I also want to say “ROCK ON” to the mates who helped him create these images.

Yeah they are just pictures, but they are about his music, and that is what makes them so exciting.

“After months of thinking, in which label we will release our material and after many offers we have decide to signed with German based label, Biohazard Records, which is a division of Danse Macabre Records.

We are very happy and excited because Biohazard Records has excellent worldwide network connections & partners and distribution in the dark scene.

Here goes…

It was the official Manson web site which broke the news on Monday, March 31st with the simple headline: “Marilyn Manson undergoes sex change“. In a press release issued later that day to a select group of journalists, Manson explained that the sex change would come as a real shock to many but not to his closest friends such as John 5 and Stephen Gregory Bier Jr. (aka Madonna Wayne Gacy) who “always respected the feminine side of me”.

According to the rather brief press message, the facial operation was done in Buenos Aires at a health care provider devoted exclusively to transsexual and transgender patients. The other operations were executed in Germany, supposedly at the Klinik Sans Souci.

Manson who usually has no problem with public attention now asks the press for some respect for his privacy:

“On due time you will be given the opportunity to talk to me about this drastic decision which will change my whole live as a human being and as a performer…”

Dita Von Teese says in reaction to Manson’s decision:

“The name and manners were already there, the body has followed…”

… Well at least she was putting it subtly…

The band had a meeting in Santa Barbara just before Easter, and during which they made a rough time line and listened to a few demos. The first recording sessions are expected to kick off in early May.

In related news Billboard announced that Depeche Mode’s manager Baron Kessler has joined up with Coldplay’s manager Dave Holmes to form Good Boy Productions. The first project of Good Boy Productions will be a Canadian festival called Pemberton Festival.

In the meantime Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode) is again trying to stop the old rumor that his heroin and cocaine drug overdose in 1996 was a suicide attempt. Gahan was pronounced clinically dead after combining the drugs – known as a speedball – in a Los Angeles hotel room. He was revived by paramedics and survived. Gahan, 45, tells Hustler magazine that is was no suicide attempt:

“I’m painfully aware that was not what I was trying to do. All I was trying to do was disappear for a while, and that became a lost weekend…What I thought I wanted to do in my life was escape constantly from whatever it was that was going on. That is not the case anymore. I’m here and I really enjoy the challenge of [my] life.”

Gahan, on a side note, didn’t you ever hear the saying “Drugs are bad… mmmmmkay?!” I mean if fictional drawn characters know this.. what the hell is your problem mate? Then again, you have been away from drugs supposedly for quite some time now so keep it up. However, if you do go back.. don’t fricking mix them. The Hair Bands should have taught you that.

Also, I’m not condoning the use of drugs incase any of you Industrial Lovers are confused. I’m merely stating that if you are going to do drugs, don’t increase your chances of dying by being even more stupid.

That’s one of the main reasons why I find industrial and the related genres so alluring and hypnotic. Fuck aroma therapy. Grab a favored CD of Shiny Toy Guns and slap that bugger into a player; be it a car system or even an Xbox 360 and let the music cascade over you.

Even a sad and hurtful song can be releasing. Granted the pain associated with a song can vary and at times be completely unbearable. Then again, what song would be more releasing in the end. I think everyone has those types of songs. I know I have many of these ‘torture songs’, and I listen to them quite often. Sometimes they give me enough emotion that I need to get up and do what actually needs done.

Then again sometimes they don’t.

Don’t Cry Out is slightly becoming one of those songs for me but on the other hand, I think it’s just because I’m addicted to it.

Wonder what other torture songs people have. Can to share?

Also it seems a release date has been projected, since EMI Spain stated that Mute Labels are hoping to have the album ready ‘at the end of this fiscal year’; just in time for Christmas. A tentative date of around November 25th has been communicated to retailers and media in Spain via the IFPI owned operation Promusicae (A retail newspaper/magazine). A tour would be announced in the early fall of 2008, with pre-sales in September or October. The actual tour would not start until early 2009. Lots of news, but all unconfirmed, although depeche-mode.com is known for having respected and trustworthy sources.

Wonder how Gahan feels about this or if he is even personally included. Who knows right now but we will see in the near future on what the plans are for this hopefully knock-out of an album.
