Subheim – The Kostas K. Project

Subheim – The Kostas K. Project

Subheim is the personal project of electronic music composer and visual artist Kostas K. The overall sound of Subheim can be described as a down-tempo, experimental venture fusing IDM elements together with rich ambiance and female vocals by Katja. Complex and uncompromising, Subheim’s debut album on Tympanik Audio is full of intricate rhythms, deep reverb’s, and bit-crushed sounds, combined with pianos, cellos, and beautiful synth work. Haunting melodies and distant voices meet complex beats and luring atmospheres to create a unique blend of dynamics and emotion.

Rasputina – The Olde Headboard Lyrics

Rasputina – The Olde Headboard Lyrics

These ladies have such a beautiful sound. The way their voice carries with their instruments is astounding. Though, like Emilie Autumn, this band takes some getting used to; even for the most eccentric connoisseur.
Personally, I only dig a few songs by these talented ladies (most of them remixed), but that doesn’t mean the rest of the songs are crap. I just prefer a hard hitting beat. The original songs that Rasputina produces lacks a hard beat, but their skills with a cello are something to take a note on… not to mention if you see them in concert you’ll …read more

Deep In The Sweet Water [Joseph Bishara Remix]

Deep In The Sweet Water [Joseph Bishara Remix]

Though these lyrics are very short, the beat and composition of the song is great. This is the remixed version of “SweetWaterKill” by Joseph Bishara. I’ve noticed he’s done a couple of remixes for these lovely ladies; and he seems to have always impressed.
Though the only thing that I really do not like is the end of the song. It seems a bit off even for Rasputina’s sound. Oh well, the song is still great and I can’t get enough of it. I actually prefer it over the original “SweetWaterKill”. Perhaps that’s just me…

Celldweller: Take It and Break It Volume #2 – Frozen Remixes

Celldweller: Take It and Break It Volume #2 – Frozen Remixes

Klayton from Celldweller is on his third remix contest from his personal label FIXT. During these contest’s, music producers from industrial to EBM to drum & bass to IDM and all points in between, come to put their own taste on the selected track. This contests track was Frozen. Just as the other contests stated, there will only be three winners chosen out of hundreds of submissions.
First place was the As Ember mix by Brent Young. A hard-hitting industrial mix full of searing synth manipulations amid fields of ambient bass pads, it’s no wonder this mix won first place, bearing …read more

The Band Called ‘Collide’

The Band Called ‘Collide’

Upon searching for new talent among the plethora of want-to-be industrial producers, I stumbled upon the band called Collide. Now they may not be just out of the garage or basement for that matter, but they aren’t exactly the most widely known either. From what I have heard, this band has potential.

Emilie Autmn – Opheliac Album

Emilie Autmn – Opheliac Album

Great album. Gorgeous artist: in not only looks but more importantly in her music, I.E. her voice and instrumental bliss that is dubbed, Victoriandurstial. The album is comprised of 18 tracks and 3 of which are poems written by none other than… WILLIAM SHATNER.
Kidding… they are written by Emilie. Sorry to trick you folks. I know I know… bad decay. ..:: Slaps Hand ::..
Now that’s out of the way, Opheliac, has been one of Emilie Autumns most loved album due to the fact that she not only surprises people with her talent but her love of the violin and …read more
