Mt. Sims – Happily Ever After

Dark electro-pop act Mt. Sims will release a 12-inch vinyl EP, ‘A Grave‘, later this month as a preview for its forthcoming third album, ‘Happily Ever After‘, which is due for an October release and will feature a guest appearance by Jessie Evans of the bands Vanishing and Autonervous. Both the EP and the album will be released on Hungry Eye Records. The tracks from the EP are also available now as digital downloads!

Patenbrigade Announces ‘Demokratischer Sektor’!

Berlin ambient electro act Patenbrigade: Wolff recently released Demokratischer Sektor, a retrospective album spanning 2004-2008, on Zweieck Recordings. The album features remixes and collaborations with acts such as kiEw, Absurd Minds and Sara Noxx, and is available in a 20-track metal box edition and a single-track edition in which all the songs blend into one another to produce one 74-minute track. L’ame Immortelle Update

Austrian duo L’ame Immortelle’s latest album, Durch Fremde Hand, will be released July 25 by Trisol Music Group. Durch Fremde Hand will be available as a standard CD as well as a double-disc limited edition, featuring a 28-page hardcover digibook with lyrics and photographs. The band’s tour kicks off July 20 at the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany, and continues through September and October.

Ambassador21 Announces New DVD!

Industrial act Ambassador21 has announced its upcoming DVD, ‘Monsters, Victims and Witnesses’, will be released this September on Vendetta Music. The DVD is a full-length film based on true events which includes live performances by the band in Denmark, France, Italy, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Belarus. Sonic Diary is Released + More News on Costanza!

After an incubation period of over 5 years, Costanza is finally ready to share the pages of her diary with friends all over the world. As of June 17^th, 2008 Costanza invites fans to download ‘Sonic Diary‘ from iTunes, eMusic and Amazon.com. The artist, who was last heard on a full length on Tricky’s 2003 album ‘Vulnerable‘, has been collecting inspiration from a wide variety of societal issues including immigration, dependency on medicine, longing in relationships and women’s rights.

The lead single from Sonic Diary, “Just Another Alien” has been made available as a free download on Costanza’s MySpace page, www.myspace.com/costanzafrancavilla, between today and July 8^th, the date of the physical release of the album. At that time, ‘Sonic Diary‘ will be available through the artist’s web site, www.costanza.tv in two formats. Along with a traditional cardboard cased CD, fans will be able to purchase the new CD, along with the accompanying music videos, on limited edition USB drive.

When asked to describe Sonic Diary, Costanza explains,

“It’s a 15 song journal and includes tracks that made my diary during these last few years from the time I met Tricky ’til today in Brooklyn with the mermaids of the East River.”

Along with new compositions, Costanza has included three fascinating reinterpretations of familiar songs, a stark, drum-driven take on Johnny Cash’s “God’s Gonna Cut You Down,” a passionate and angry take on Fugazi’s “Promises” and a heartbreaking ode to fallen Italian pop star Rino Gaetano in “Sale”.

Debut Album For Autodafeh/’Lust n Stone’ Release for Defile Des Ames!

On a quick note for the Swedish industrial act Autodafeh has announced its debut album, ‘Hunt for Glory‘, will be released in North America July 15th from Sigsaly Transmissions. You can check out more from this band at the Autodafeh Myspace Page (which their sound reminds me a lot of Combichrist and a few of their samples do sound the same, just a warning.)

Definitely check them out though and tell me what you guys think of them. It’s sweet that they were signed with Sigsaly Transmissions so quickly, but lets just see how long they are with this label first…

On some more news, this next album is described as: “The swirling sense of lust meets the hardness of stone on ‘Lust ‘n’ Stone‘”, and it just happens to be the child of industrial act, Defile Des Ames.

The music of Defile Des Ames is a blend of contrary elements: Violence & lyricism, atmosphere & rage, murder, purity, winds & mushrooms. Their traditional and classical instruments are accompanied by powerful percussions and the participation of the great Matt Howden (SIEBEN) gives a incomparable accent to the album. ‘Lust ‘n’ Stone‘ is a brilliant, dark Avant-Garde Folk album and after many years of live appearances and independent releases, here is finally the debut album of the Mediterranean Folk-gods Defile Des Ames.

‘Frost EP: Sent To Destroy’ Combichrist Release!

Combichrist is at it again! Rawr rawr rawr!

This album is due to be released from Metropolis-Records on July 8th. I CAN’T WAIT.

Combischrist is one of the first bands to not re-insert me back into the industrial genre but has been able to keep me here with his fantastic music! Maybe it’s the hard “I’m going to eat your spleen” beat or the the “sneer” in the lyrics that keeps so many, including me, coming back for more. It’s hard to say since as stated before, Combichrist is in a league of its own.

Sacramento, California’s [syndika:zero] crashed into the industrial scene in late 2006. Headed up by L1fg1v3r, [syndika:zero] rose from the ashes of his previous project (Victim: 1313) to produce their own brand of hard-nosed electro and idm that has been affectionately described as “Being pistol-whipped while a broken transistor radio plays Sinatra EXTREMELY loud”.

Early this year, S:Z self-released their powerhouse debut ‘The Example‘. Combining the hard edge of the likes of Terrorfakt with the controlled mechanical rhythms of Haujobb and adding hardcore stylized vocals, ‘The Example‘ is quickly making a name for S:Z and bringing them tons of new fans. S:Z has also hit the road performing all over the United States in support of their debut. In March of 2008 they played at the acclaimed Blacksun Festival alongside such artist as Assemblage 23, Cesium 137, Seabound, and Alter Der Ruine, and will soon be opening for Accessory on select dates of their west coast United States tour.

As they round out the Crunch Pod roster, S:Z will be releasing their label debut in early 2009. What you can expect is an album that will be aggressive, poignant, and passionate this is only the beginning.

Checking out their previews, [syndika:zero] reminded me a bit of Juno Reactor from the days of Mortal Kombat. Not saying that their sound is completely like that but it gave me an enjoyable flashback to that movie. “YOUR SOUL IS MINE!!!” These

mates seem like it will have a great future ahead of it if they can reach enough listeners in my opinion. Their song “Zodiac”(The Instrumental Demo Version) is defiantly a beat that will make you want to shake your ass.. and watch yourself!

I couldn’t resist…

Their song “Deceit” and the Instrumental Demo Version, have that angry beat that’s able to make even the most ‘hardcore snob’ in the club get their feet on the dance floor and move to it. These mates are really something that needs to be sampled and taken into deep consideration when adding new music to your collection!
