Stromkern – Stand Up Lyrics

Stromkern – Stand Up Lyrics

Imagine an all out brawl of :wumpscut, Yo Yo Ma, and House of Pain, and you’ll have the sound of Stromkern! The glorious blends of James “Ned” Kirby gave birth to Stromkern in 1994 after his DJing days lost their luster.
“Ned” DJed in Madison, Wisconsin in his teen bopper days, and gained much of his experience under “Flowers For Ravers”. (Honestly mate, what the hell kind of band name is THAT?!”)
Anywho, Ned’s earlier acts included “Konzentrationslagen” and “Aussicht vom Rande der Nacht” as well as a cover of Nick Cave’s “The Mercy Seat”. All of which …read more

Emilie Autumn – Shalott Lyrics

Emilie Autumn – Shalott Lyrics

This song in its entirety leaves me, well, speechless. I’m actually at a loose to describe how pleasing this song is. Emilie does show her graceful singing ability in this song along with her outstanding violin skills. The instrumental part that gets me is located at 1.20, mainly because the bass actually hits harder and more synth instruments are added for a brief time.
The song is not only sung very well but the story Emilie sings is fabulous. Pining for love, never finding it, or wanting someone who doesn’t even notice you are there, and wishing to be at …read more

Covenant Never Ceases To Amaze

Covenant Never Ceases To Amaze

I think everyone has music that speaks to them in various ways. An earlier post was constructed explaining how Industrial music has a Personal Message in every song that is created. The personal message is one everyone gets out of the song and not necessarily directly from the artists. With that being said, I wonder if everyone has a comfort song by a different artist each month. What happens to your comfort song when you get tired of the beat, voice, message, and overall way it makes you feel?
I know right now, one major song that I find soothing, is …read more

MSI – Another Remix?!

MSI – Another Remix?!

I really wouldn’t consider MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) industrial, but upon recently playing the Xbox 360 game, Burnout: Revenge, I noticed a remix of their widely known song, “Straight To Video”. Now I know there is a LOT of remixes out their but many different bands such as Haujobb, Noise Unit, The Birthday Massacre, and many more, but the one that caught my attention since I was already sick to death of the original Straight to Video song, was remixed by KMFDM!
What got me was the overall bass the song had in it and the distorted vocal effects that were …read more

De\Vision – Strange Affection Lyrics

De\Vision – Strange Affection Lyrics

boomp3.com
For some reason I have been on a De\Vision kick for the past week. The songs are so addicting and it is very hard to explain why. Perhaps it just “That Time of Year Again”, or maybe it’s because the band just rocks.
This song was from their earlier days (the 80’s) but it shows the same De\Vision you hear today though with more of the hair band touch; especially the music video. Feel free to sing with this daunting and hypnotic beat and give some feedback in this elder band!
“Give me your bright white eyes that I …read more

Lacuna Coil – A Band That Leaves Me Wanting More…

Lacuna Coil – A Band That Leaves Me Wanting More…

I am addicted to Lacuna Coil’s song Cold Heritage! This song has been in my media files for the longest of times, but until recently I have journeyed back to them and feel as if I have discovered a new song!
Now the song starts off slowly with a beautiful solo guitar and then adds a second guitar faintly in the background. Just as this soothing rift grabs the listener’s attention, Christina Scabbia’s soul touching voice enters into her breath taking lullaby. Now enter the drumming beats that would seem to be pure industrial to “kick it up a notch”. …read more

Fact or Fictional?

Fact or Fictional?

Fictional is a band that was very short lived yet is STILL in huge demand. I own a few of their songs, (Hangman & Blue Lights), and I absolutely love the band. I would like to find more but it is so hard to find more of their songs. Here is a bit on the band known as Fictional.
Gerrit Thomas, one of the masterminds behind Funker Vogt and Ravenous, formed Fictional in the late 1990’s to create a hybrid between the two bands. The project forged high energy music similar to Funker Vogt with vocal styles of Ravenous to make …read more
