After his detainment and eventually denied entry to the United States, Constanza began to wrestle with exactly it means to be displaced in the United States. However, one of the MAIN reasons on why I find this song so enjoyable is because of the fact the two artists came together and produced this song.

Anyone can tell that this Rasputina song has a harder hitting beat; more so than normal. This is what makes it addicting. It also reminds me a bit of Type O Negative from the singers voice, and on top of that, it’s fun to yell “HEY!” throughout the entirety of the song.

Now for the break down of the song. Right off the bat, as soon as the first string of the dust guitar is struck, the beat sends out an aggressive yet foreboding feeling yet at the same time the allure from the consistency of the bass guitar can leave the listener yearning to hear more… as if it’s addicting.

Now there are a few lyrics that extend the allure and add a dark seductive tone to the song: “Hey pathetic fool, you do not see this curse, it could be a blessing… in disguise. Hey little melody, I found your fatal trace that led me to your… hideaway..”.

Why is this alluring and darkly-seductive? Well that is easily answered if you relate it to raw emotion and giving yourself to another. I don’t mean by the horizontal mambo, but rather, when you trust somebody so much that you give everything you have to them. What is more dark and seductive than when you give yourself to someone just to see where they take you, I.E., “You do not see this curse, it could be a blessing… in disguise”.

On top of that everyone wants to know what someone else is thinking, especially if it has anything to do with them. So once a person gives themselves up to someone else, that includes their thoughts; “I found your fatal trace that led me to your… hideaway…” Everyone’s innate hideaway is their mind, their dark unknown, hideaway.

That is why those lyrics make this song so addicting, but then again, the beat helps.

Enjoy!

== Diary of Dreams – The Plague ==

boomp3.com

“Hey, pretty face
you think that you can hide
behind this mask of yours

Hey, prison cell
you can not keep me here
Silent waters are deep you know

Chorus:
I cannot see the man that you can see in me
I cannot kill this guy not even if I tried
I think I need to run to make myself a home
I need to separate the living from the dead

This is the mind you came to fight
Call it fateful!
Don’t be a plague, a spell to kill
You should be grateful!
(You should be grateful!)

… Call it faithful…
…You should be grateful!
(You should be grateful!)

Hey, pathetic fool…
you do not see this curse
could be a blessing… in disguise

Hey, little melody
I found your fatal trace
that led me to your… hideaway

Chorus:
I cannot see the man that you can see in me
I cannot kill this guy not even if I tried
I think I need to run to make myself a home
I need to separate the living from the dead

This is the mind you came to fight
Call it fateful!
Don’t be a plague, a spell to kill
You should be grateful!

This is the mind you came to fight
Call it fateful!
Don’t be a plague, a spell to kill
You should be grateful!
(You should be grateful!)”

As Always, Here is A Fix.

Post from: Industrial Addiction

Boys & Girls

Song Reviews

Boys and Girls

Fear Cult

Industral Music Blog

Industrial-Music-News

Industrial-Music-Site

I just found this whole song hilarious and it needs to be in the archives of Industrial Addiction.
