When artist’s get pissed, they always seem to find a way to make their statement not only heard, but they show their point with flying colors. So far two artists have shown their distaste for the major record labels who like to rip-off their fans. So normally when a big name band throws a fit and makes sense, the less heard bands will normally hop on the band-wagon and follow suite not only to show that they love their fans as well, but add support to the bigger band.

Iris is back with a brand-new release for 2008, called “Hydra”. Like the mythological multi-head growing beast, “Hydra” takes the Iris sound and expands it in multiple directions. Hydra features 3 brand new tracks, as well as remixes from bands like Mesh, Alpinestars, Conetik, Datguy, Benz & MD, and Dan Kearley.
On top of that, Iris has bundled this succulent CD with a 30 minute “behind the scenes” tour diary on a special DVD. “Hydra” creates yet another chapter in the constantly evolving Iris story and will be released by Diffusion Records on March 25th.

This is a song that took me a few days to get used to due to the odd singing. I came to realize later on, that it was because her voice was so odd during parts of the song, that makes the song is very addicting. Not to mention, the message of the song is outstanding and quite sad. Especially the second verse:
“I was pretending your secret kiss of confidence was my escape… the perfect game to play…”

The depeche-mode.com web site has made a round up of all the Depeche Mode news they could get their mitts on and things look bright for the ‘black swarm’ herd. The band will hit the studio in March to work on a few pre-produced songs that songwriter Martin Gore has been working on . Together, he will be working with Sie Medway-Smith (Erasure, Client, Depeche Mode)in the home studio of Gore which is located in Santa Barbara, CA. Along with some of those songs, rumor has it that they may add a possible inclusion of some Dave Gahan’s material.

  Veteran electronic act Meat Beat Manifesto, spearheaded by sound manipulator/producer Jack Dangers, will release a new album, called “Autoimmune“, on April 8 from Metropolis Records.
To celebrate the act’s 10th release, Meat Beat Manifesto will tour the United States this spring. Shows will be kicking off staring on April 9th at the Nuemos in Seattle, WA. Other dates include:

As many of you well know, today can be a blessing and a curse for love. If you are single or not, this day can still be a great day and full of love! After all, not all industrial music is filled with anger and “I want to stomp you face in” beats.

EMI/Mute is loosing around 10 acts (possibly) and one such band is Depeche Mode. Reuter’s news article stated that Depeche Mode is going to drop the label so they do a “different” approach with how they release their music. Also, the article addressed that Depeche Mode didn’t need a major label to fill arenas and have DJ’s fill their playlists with new tracks.

Wolfsheim still has no news on when their next album will be released, but still that doesn’t mean these mates are just sitting on their asses. Peter Heppner, the front man of Wolfshiem, aims to go solo later in an undisclosed month of this year. His solo album will be released with Warner Music Germany later this year. After recording with artists such as Girl Under Glass, Umbra, Et Imago, Schiller, Goethes Erben, and Paul van Dyk, Heppner wants to test his soloing skills for the first time.

I really wouldn’t consider MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) industrial, but upon recently playing the Xbox 360 game, Burnout: Revenge, I noticed a remix of their widely known song, “Straight To Video”. Now I know there is a LOT of remixes out their but many different bands such as Haujobb, Noise Unit, The Birthday Massacre, and many more, but the one that caught my attention since I was already sick to death of the original Straight to Video song, was remixed by KMFDM!

EBMfest is a huge event that takes place every year and the EBMfest 2007 had Rotersand as their headliner. Now this years EBMfest was very disappointing and it wasn’t due to the bands vocal ability live. What happened was the headliner, Rotersand, up and CANCLED. WHAT THE HELL MATES?!
Rotersand is a very talented group but why the fuck would you cancel at THIS FEST? I sat here bitching about it and then Rotersand gave us insight to why the cancelation occurred:
