Fellow readers of Industrial Addiction. Excuse the way updates to the site have been going for the past weeks since I have found a job locally that has me working odd and often, very long hours through the week and weekends. A lot of things have been needing my attention and I have reluctantly been giving up my valuable time dedicated to Industrial Addiction to complete them.

Mt. Sims – Happily Ever After

Dark electro-pop act Mt. Sims will release a 12-inch vinyl EP, ‘A Grave‘, later this month as a preview for its forthcoming third album, ‘Happily Ever After‘, which is due for an October release and will feature a guest appearance by Jessie Evans of the bands Vanishing and Autonervous. Both the EP and the album will be released on Hungry Eye Records. The tracks from the EP are also available now as digital downloads!

Crisis – Ends! From the Neroz Label

Scheduled for release later this month on Death in June’s NEROZ label is ‘Ends!‘, a live recording of the final concert performance by Crisis, the punk act formed by Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford, who would later go on to form Death in June and Sol Invictus, respectively. The band’s final show was an opening performance in support of Magazine and Bauhaus, and featured a rendition of the song “All Alone in Her Nirvana“, which would later be recorded as a Death in June song. ‘Ends!‘ is available now for pre-order

Patenbrigade Announces ‘Demokratischer Sektor’!

Berlin ambient electro act Patenbrigade: Wolff recently released Demokratischer Sektor, a retrospective album spanning 2004-2008, on Zweieck Recordings. The album features remixes and collaborations with acts such as kiEw, Absurd Minds and Sara Noxx, and is available in a 20-track metal box edition and a single-track edition in which all the songs blend into one another to produce one 74-minute track. The new release has already reached the number two slot in the German Alternative Charts.

L’ame Immortelle Update

Austrian duo L’ame Immortelle’s latest album, Durch Fremde Hand, will be released July 25 by Trisol Music Group. Durch Fremde Hand will be available as a standard CD as well as a double-disc limited edition, featuring a 28-page hardcover digibook with lyrics and photographs. The band’s tour kicks off July 20 at the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany, and continues through September and October.

Juno Reactor

Ambient tribal/industrial act Juno Reactor, which recently released a new album entitled Gods and Monsters, has announced the re-release of two previous albums on Metropolis Records. Beyond the Infinite, originally released in 1996, will be re-released August 5; Bible of Dreams, originally released in 1997, will be re-released August 19.

Death in the Industrial Genre…

Andrea Ashdown, co-founder of Glis and founder of Audiodoll, died June 24th at the age of 33. In 2001, Andrea and Shaun Frandsen started the electro/industrial group Glis in Seattle, WA, opening for acts such as VNV Nation and Icon of Coil. In 2003, Andrea left to begin her project Audiodoll and relocated to Las Vegas, NV, but continued to contribute vocal work to Glis and various compilations.

Project Pitchfork is on Tour!

Project Pitchfork has announced dates for its upcoming European and South American tour, which kicks off July 20th at the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany. Other dates include:

Ambassador21 Announces New DVD!

Industrial act Ambassador21 has announced its upcoming DVD, ‘Monsters, Victims and Witnesses’, will be released this September on Vendetta Music. The DVD is a full-length film based on true events which includes live performances by the band in Denmark, France, Italy, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Belarus. The band is offering a free sample video download from the film via its Web site and MySpace page. Please follow the links for more information.
