Razed in Black – Oh My GOTH!!

Razed in Black – Oh My GOTH!!

Now what song can be better than this one… I mean right off the bat the sensuous voice of a female can be heard that would make most guys blush. Not to mention the fact that I’ve accidentally yelled “Oh MY GOTH!” instead of “Oh MY GOD!” from listening to this song so much.

The hypnotic melody and seductive lyrics from both the male and female singer can make any industrial fan bite their lip out of shear ear-pleasing pleasure while jamming out to this song.

Razed in Black has been around since 1984 and was formerly known as …read more

Here’s the club update for the week. Went there reallllllly late. Actually only spent 2 hours there but it was still interesting. The play list was a bit better then last time and the DJ did only mess up one transition, so, at least I know he’s working on his stuff. <3
Any who. Zeromancer, Covenant, Ministry, Wumpscut, and some Razed in Black were the bands of choice that night (from what I was able to hear). So it was a good night in that area. One thing that was very new as well was the whole feel of the club. …read more

Torture Tuesday – Suicide Commando

Torture Tuesday – Suicide Commando

One thing I absolutely admire, and love about industrial music is how much can be portrayed by both the fans and bands. For one, Industrial music is very political; the same with punk music. With that being said industrial music, as a result, isn’t mainstream, well liked, and can be very hard to dance to.
The benefit from industrial being political is that there are some issues that can be addressed and it will be more accepted then if someone just shot off their mouth, stating their views. So when a fan of a band throws together a video …read more

Monday Insight

Monday Insight

Alright people, here is the Monday ramblings and hopeful insight of yet another Monday. Have I mentioned that I have been up for the better part of 24 hours?
Have you even noticed how closely related EBM, Synth-Pop, Dark Wave, Electrionica, Freeze-Pop, Gothic, and Techno are to Industrial.
Yes they all can be considered their own genre but I like to consider them a sub-genre of Industrial. The main reasoning behind this all is because without the industrial “revolution” of music, these genres most likely wouldn’t have come about. The same goes for many bands that are out there now. …read more

Well son of a ..:: Foghorn ::..
I MISSED THE CLUB. Gar. Normally Tuesday nights are derived of waking up to my roommate kicking the side of my bed till I wake up screaming “Tuesday. Club. GET DRESSED!”
Now I do not mean to make him sound like a Neanderthal since he is very intelligent (he has to be after all because he hangs around me, pfftshaw), but it’s always easier to yell short sentences then trying to yell “GET UP I just got home and we need to go to (insert random store here) before we go to the club …read more

Torture Tuesday – Margin of Error

Torture Tuesday – Margin of Error

Well now this is a new band overall, but their sound gives off a presence that far exceeds their reputation. It is comprised of Vo1d and Trav15. Not much is known from this upstart band, but much can be expected from it. Their Dark Wave and Electronica sounds give an eerie tone to the listener. The Orgy sounding song of Physical Body Projection is just one song that can give a slight hint to who their artists of inspiration are. A band with this type of talent hasn’t been heard since the days of oGhr and rumor has it, since …read more

Mind.In.A.Box – When Video Games Meet The Music Industry

Mind.In.A.Box – When Video Games Meet The Music Industry

This band is its own world. Their website Mindinabox.com not only shows that with just a glance at the homepage, but their music is something that is not for the simple of mind. Mainly classified as Synth-Pop blended with Dark Wave and Electronica. Wonder if this band ever runs out of plugs for their equipment. BA DUN CHING.
Any who, their sound is phenomenal, for a lack of a better word since they have not only created boot stomping, body shaking, dance till you collapse music for the clubs and personal enjoyment in the car, but for video games. Their …read more

Suicide Commando – X.20 (Best Of)

Suicide Commando – X.20 (Best Of)

Suicide Commando has been around for years. Well 20 years to be exact and they are still pumping out albums, rocking fans, baffling novices and keeping the music at its best. Over the 20 year onslaught of melodical bliss, Suicide Commando is bringing out their 7th album called X.20 (Best Of).
The CD will have 15 handpicked, fan adored songs, original and club hits. That’s right, I said FAN PICKED. Right there is one in-your-face reason to love Suicide Commando. Metropolis Records is the proud label to be putting out this album.
The only thing I hope that doesn’t …read more

Starting off, I will dedicate Wednesday to the club nights spent here in Norfolk. Hopefully this will give a more enveloping feel to the site. Not to mention a way for the people of I.A. to see what the clubs are like here in VA. (So far nothing to jump up and say “YES… I’m so there.”)
Well this week’s club was interviewing a new DJ that in all honesty needed to learn more about transitions in industrial music and the likes. Yes I know it can be hard to find the best transition for songs, but when the floor dies …read more

Monday Insight

Ever notice how hard it is to find good industrial, Synth-Pop, and some Dark Wave out on today’s market? It sucks in all reality. I would love to go out and buy more CDs at a store then having to buy it online. Patience is not one of my virtues.
So far the sites that I have found to be good in getting the CDs of interest are:
Metropolis-records.com
Fuckthemainstream.com
Occasionally I will shop at Amazon.com but I prefer to avoid them since their customer service and overall shipping quality has much to be desired. (I ordered a VNV Nation CD: Empires to …read more
